FIFTH AMENDMENT !!!


"No person shall be held to answer for a capital or otherwise infamous crime unless on a presentment or indictment of a grand jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the militia, when in actual service in time of war or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use without just compensation."

Meaning: 
This amendment basically states that the government is forbidden to prosecute a person accused of a crime. This stops someone from testifying which can cause self incrimination. It also doesn't allow someone to have double jeopardy which means being charged for the same crime twice. In some instance, the government needs proof and evidence in a case and defendants do not have to help the government prove a case.

TWENTY-SEVENTH AMENDMENT:) " No law varying the compensation for the services of the Senators and Representatives shall take effect until an election of Representatives shall have intervened." Meaning: This amendment states that those in Congress can't themselves a pay raise this also deals with the decrease in pay wages. TWENTY-SIXTH AMENDMENT!! "The right of citizens of the United States, who are 18 years of age or older, to vote, shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or any state on account of age." " The Congress shall have the power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation."  Meaning:  This amendment states that those who are 18 and older can vote and shouldn't be denied because of their age! This image was cute and just shows the pride of those that are 18 and happy to vote and make a difference!
