Fourth Amendment!! " The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized. " Meaning: The amendment basically states that you cannot search a United Sates citizens house or other property with a warrant given by the judge or any other legal officials. This is such an important amendment because it's given citizens the right to privacy but, can also when be a burden to law officials when they have probable cause to thinking their could be possible evidence in or on someone's property. By the fourth amendment they cannot do just search for unreasonable reasons.   I chose this video because it was informative about the purpose of the fourth amendment and even gave a real life example of...

THIRD AMENDMENT! ;) " No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law." Meaning: What this amendment explains that military men and women cannot enter any United States citizens home no matter the circumstances. This law is a bit strange for a lot of us in the modern United Sates but, this was a hug issue when it was the later 1700s. Soldiers were aloud to go into anyone's house spend the night and eat the owners food! This law was quite important to those citizens because who wants someone coming and going as they please? However, our men and women who serve this country should be able to have a home or residence after times of war are over. This was a funny picture because for one I remember this episode and it also shows that to dismiss one problem you can dismiss another, if we didn't have war there wouldn't be a need for the thi...

Amendment II :) " A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. " This amendment is for citizens to help protect themselves and their property. However, this amendment is somewhat sensitive to American citizens and the thoughts on gun control, there have been several debates on gun control and opinions that have started a lot of controversy but, in my opinion guns do of course need to be regulated but, its going to be hard to do so because, there is a problem of illegal guns in the United States. I feel this law is important because everyone should have the right to defend themselves its just the problem of those who use guns for unnecessary harm to others. I choice this picture because it was very patriotic, it shows our national bird the eagle, our flag, and a cool band in the eagles mouth of our 2nd amendment. Can't get more patriotic than this! ...

Amendment I  " Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or of the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. " This amendment is in my opinion one of the most important amendments because it let's us in some ways as an American citizen speak our minds and embrace ourselves. For freedom of speech, we of course can't say every little thing that pops into our minds and what we say could offend people but, with having freedom of speech it enables us as American citizens to learn something new or open our eyes to a different light. Having freedom of speech can educate us on important topics. For freedom of religion, our country was founded on those were leaving for religious purposes and for us as Americans to see so many religions all at once in our country, gives us another chance to l...

The Articles of the Constitution :)

Article 1 of the U.S. Constitution gives Congress its powers and limits. Congress is the legislative branch of the government, meaning they are the ones to make laws for the United States of America. The article also creates the two sections of Congress, which is called a bicameral legislature. The first of the two is the Senate, which is made up of two senators from each state. The second is the House of Representatives, which has representatives from each state based on the population. Section 1 of Article 1 Section 1 of Article 1 is known as the vesting clause. This clause gives Congress of the government’s power to make laws. There are similar vesting clauses in article two and article three, which give powers to the other branches of the government. This means no other branch is allowed to exercise the same power.  Section 2 of Article 1 Section 2 of Article 1 gives information about the United States House of Representatives. This part of Article 1 says ...
