21st amendment!!

"The 18th article of the amendment Constitution of the United States is hereby repealed."

Meaning: The people of the United States were able to drink and alcohol was not illegal. This was in effect in January 16th 1919.

I chose this picture because it shows how big of a deal this amendment was for people, I guess people do like to drink then and now!

AMENDMENT VIII "Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed , nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted ." Meaning: This amendment pretty much explains itself, but this states in my opinion safety and fair rules for a prisoner. It's saying that any punishment given out must be fair and not tormenting, as well as not having a high unreasonable bail is not needed in the system, and lastly no extra fines that weren't there before. I chose this picture because the 8th amendment states that there is not be any cruel and unusual punishments on criminals. However in some states, they allow the death penalty but, isn't that considered a cruel punishment? What do you think about the death penalty?

Fourth Amendment!! " The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized. " Meaning: The amendment basically states that you cannot search a United Sates citizens house or other property with a warrant given by the judge or any other legal officials. This is such an important amendment because it's given citizens the right to privacy but, can also when be a burden to law officials when they have probable cause to thinking their could be possible evidence in or on someone's property. THE BIG AMENDMENT TEN!!! "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively , or to the people." Meaning: This amendment means that anything the constitution doesn't mention can be dealt with by states as part of their powers they have if they want to do so.
